Building our castle - Day 2-4

Even though the weather hasn't been that great for construction work, the workers have made some progress during the dry intervals. The first job is the important marking of territory, otherwise known as a fence. In the picture below, our land is on the right and our neighbour's somewhat unused land is on the left.

Day 2 (Tuesday, 28th June)

We have quite an unusual shaped plot of land - a rhombus like shape - that caused a few headaches for the architects and city hall when we had the land officially marked. To add to the trouble, one of our neighbours on the otherside of this image actually encroached on our land mischievously when they built their house a decade or more ago. However, at that time, this plot of land was only being used for agricultural purposes by my wife's family. So, it went unnoticed... until now. Of course, nothing can be done about it, and nothing needs to be done about it, but it caused confusion when looking at the original town planning charts and the actual land measurements.

The point of explaining this is because this time the fence is a precisely measured piece of work that finally and rightfully secures every centimetre of land that has belonged to my wife's family for many many years.
