Building our castle - Day 1

It has begun!! I do not have enough time to go into the details that led up to this moment tonight, but construction has begun.

The preliminary construction is only levelling out the land and creating the fence line. The official Shinto "blessing" of the land isn't until August, which signals the beginning of the actual house construction. The expected completion date is set for the end of January 2017, followed by the house being opened for "Open House" events (not our materials inside the house though), and we move in at the start of February.
